Why Don’t All Companies Have a Street Address?
Many solar installers work on-site at customers’ homes and businesses and don’t publish an office address on Google Maps. These companies are still included, almost always with a phone number, website, and Google Maps link.
California Solar Companies Database by Business Type
The Category field lets you filter the list by the kind of solar business you want to reach:
| Category | Companies |
|---|---|
| Solar energy companies (installers & contractors) | 846 |
| Solar energy system service | 264 |
| Solar energy equipment suppliers | 176 |
| Solar panel maintenance & cleaning | 61 |
| Electrical installation, energy equipment & other | 32 |
The Services field, filled in for over half of the companies, shows what each business actually offers, such as residential solar installation, commercial solar, battery storage, EV chargers, ground-mount systems, roofing, solar panel cleaning, or system monitoring. That makes it easy to find, for example, every installer that also offers battery backup.

Why California Solar Installers Are Valuable B2B Customers
California’s solar market keeps changing, and installers are constantly looking for new products, partners, and tools:
- Battery storage is growing fast. California’s net billing rules (often called NEM 3.0) make batteries far more attractive, so installers need storage products, training, and suppliers.
- Commercial solar is expanding. Many residential installers are moving into commercial rooftops, carports and agricultural projects.
- Hiring is constant. Installers need licensed electricians, solar technicians and sales staff.
- Competition is intense. Solar companies spend heavily on marketing, lead generation, and online reviews.
