Project Overview:
We completed a large-scale web scraping, data collection, and lead generation project for Josh Sutchar, Head of Sales
at Farren and co-founder of TrainHeroic, a highly recognized USA-based sports technology company that builds web, mobile, and tablet solutions helping coaches and athletes achieve their best performance. Farren and TrainHeroic proudly serve clients across the NFL, Olympics, high school, college, and private training facilities worldwide. Josh needed a comprehensive and well-organized coach database built from multiple international sports coaching directories and platforms to support Farren’s mission of giving world-class coaching to everyone, not just the elite few.
Client Background:
Josh Sutchar is the Head of Sales at Farren, a company passionate about connecting everyday athletes with world-class coaches. He is also the co-founder of TrainHeroic, part of the Peaksware portfolio of brands, which has been featured in BuiltInColorado’s Top 100 Companies list since 2017 and recognized in Outside Magazine’s Best Places to Work multiple years in a row. With deep experience in sports technology and sales, Josh needed accurate, verified, and well-structured coach data from multiple international sources to build a powerful coach database for Farren’s growing platform.
Project Requirements:
Josh provided a list of international sports coaching directories, certification bodies, and coach listing platforms from the USA, UK, Australia, and France, covering multiple sports disciplines, including endurance, cycling, triathlon, running, and fitness training. The project required extracting coach profiles and contact data from each source and finding verified personal and company emails and social media profile links for lead generation purposes. Both manual and automated scraping methods were used, depending on the structure and complexity of each platform.

Project Challenges:
This project involved scraping data from multiple platforms across different countries, each with unique website structures, languages, and data formats. Some platforms required manual research and lead generation techniques to find verified email addresses and social media profiles that were not publicly listed on the directories. Platforms covering France required handling data in the French language, while Australian and UK directories had different formatting standards. Every coach’s record was carefully verified and cleaned before being added to the final database to ensure 100% accuracy and completeness.

Successfully delivered a comprehensive, clean, and fully verified coach database containing coach profiles, contact
details, verified emails, and social media links collected from multiple international sports coaching directories and certification platforms across the USA, UK, Australia, and France. The database covered coaches across multiple sports
disciplines, including endurance, cycling, triathlon, running, and fitness training, helping Josh Sutchar and the Farren team build targeted outreach campaigns and grow their platform of connecting everyday athletes with world-class coaches
worldwide.
